At the Port of Dover, the van carrying the shipment broke down. With a time-critical load, that created an immediate risk of delay and required a fast recovery plan.
We arranged a replacement vehicle with matching parameters and kept the customer updated throughout. Once approval was received, we organised the transfer from the failed van to the replacement using a forklift and tail lift.
After the vehicle change, the customs documents were updated with the replacement vehicle details so the shipment could continue.
The cargo was delivered without unnecessary delay, and the customer did not incur additional costs as a result of the breakdown and vehicle replacement.
